March 29 through April 1, Bronco Wild Fund is teaming up with Sons of Smokey to do a trail clean up in and around Moab. The event, dubbed the Moab Trash Grab will feature a dumpster near the Bronco rides at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive. Folks can pick up a free trash bag from at the Bronco Booth. Bringing in trash will also get you a free commemorative sticker.
The Bronco Wild Fund is a Ford-backed charity that seeks to “encourage people to go deeper into the outdoors. And motivate them to actively protect and enhance our public lands.” Ford is auctioning Bronco VIN 001 this weekend, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Bronco Wild Fund partners, Outward Bound, and the National Forest Foundation. The Bronco Wild Fund was also behind the creation of the Filson Firecrew Rig seen at several Bronco events since it was revealed 5 months ago.
Sons of Smoky is a 501C3 charitable organization associated with the Gambler 500 and focused on facilitating the collection and disposal of trash from public lands. The trash grab, happening during Easter Jeep Safari, will hopefully make an impact on the increased traffic and trash issues in Moab that come with such a large event.
We look forward to seeing the Bronco community make a good showing in the Trash Grab!
